Recommend to purchase tickets in advance. If soon enough, you can get cheaper deals, I paid $30 each on a Sunday. We had a light lunch at Purple Pig and then went to the museum of ice cream for dessert. My kids are 6 and 10 and they had a great time. My son is less adventurous with different flavors but he was happy. They liked the sprinkle pool and the arcade/carnival games. I did expect some ice cream education but ai must have missed it!

We went as a family of 4 (6 & 8 yr old girls) and it was wonderful. All of the staff was friendly and very on brand for the experience. Unlimited ice cream was a very nice treat and it was all very tasty! Facility was clean and hand sanitizing stations throughout. Music was great and the smell was like an ice cream parlor! Highly recommend for date night or family date! Chicago dog ice cream was one of a kind!

Our first time here. The museum is so cute. Great for groups. My only disappointment, no chocolate ice cream as you're turning the different rooms. Majority of the ice cream you taste will be placed in cups. One station has sugar comes, and I've got to say, the cherry ice cream, and graham cracker were a favorite. The hotdog ice cream was interesting in taste, but the kids did not care for it.

The ice cream was really good, but the vibe was just somewhat off so I felt awkward about going back for more ice cream at some stations. It was pretty cute but the lighting wasn’t perfect, but just takes a little editing if you don’t have the right camera. They advertised a lot of ice cream, but not many flavors were actually at this one, which is possible that it’s just the place I was, maybe a different MOIC has all of the flavors, I’d be interested in going to that one. The whole time I was there, I had 9 scoops of ice cream (including 2 cups of Dip’N’Dots). The flavors I had were: chocolate, cotton candy x2 (my personal favorite of the rooms), lemon sherbet, cherry sherbet, rainbow dots, cotton candy dots, pineapple dots, peach. Personally, I did not like the peach at all and I don’t even think it tasted like peach, it was more of a caramel. There was a hot dog ice cream and honestly I hated that so much and almost puked, but they sort of expected that and I didn’t have to finish it and she offered me the pineapple sherbet. I lowkey wish they had more Dots but I’m happy because there were a lot of ice cream options. For $45/person (including the hidden fees and tax which aren’t shown with the original price (kinda weird they’re not displayed)), I would not think about going back. I would’ve loved more bubbly workers to make me feel more okay about going up for more ice cream, but overall good experience, just would t go back.

Family fun for everyone! We brought the kids for a fun experience, yet everyone had a great time. Some adults got beautifully crafted cocktails to sit in a creative cool lounge. The staff was especially kind and engaged. Blue Moon was a gem in ensuring that our group enjoyed our time. It was an ice cream overload! I could barely finish one scoop before I was being offered another. My family and I are vegan and we were grateful for lifestyle exclusivity. We all loved every second.

Safety Tips

Stay safe and secure

1

Keep a close watch on your belongings, particularly in crowded areas within the museum. While the environment is generally safe, it's always wise to be cautious against pickpockets.

2

If traveling with children, establish a meeting point in case of separation. The museum can be stimulating, and kids may wander off, so having a plan will reduce stress.

3

Be mindful of sugar intake, especially for children. The museum features many sweet treats, so pace yourselves to avoid sugar rushes and crashes that could lead to crankiness or illness.

4

Stay hydrated, especially on warmer days, as the sugary treats can be dehydrating. Carry a water bottle and refill it when possible or purchase water when needed.

5

If you have any allergies, especially to common ingredients like dairy or nuts, inquire about ingredients before consuming any ice cream or treats within the museum to avoid allergic reactions.
